Key Service Notes

Parking: £8.50/hour is charged where parking fees are applicable. We are happy to use prepaid or reserved customer parking if arranged.

Initial Visit: Treated as an assessment and includes all minor repairs (if spare part value does not exceed £50).

Further Assessments: If unrelated faults appear during or after the service, additional chargeable assessments may be required.

Payment Responsibility: The person making the booking is personally liable if payment is not made on-site. The owner/shareholder of the property is also deemed responsible.

Late Payment: Failure to pay within 2 days of the due date is a breach of contract and will be passed to our legal department.

Visit Time: Calculated from either the time of parking or on-site arrival—whichever occurs first. Visit ends 5 minutes after reported finish time.
All orders/works accepted by WATT-SERVICE LIMITED are subject to the following conditions

All installations are certified by locally qualified persons if required.
Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Regulations
WATT-SERVICE LIMITED offers like-for-like collection of old household appliances for disposal when a new one is purchased from us. Ask during booking.

1. Formation of Contract
1.1 All quotations are subject to these conditions unless amended in writing.
1.2 An online or phone booking is an offer by the Customer. Acceptance occurs upon confirmation or dispatch of service.
1.3 These terms override conflicting customer terms.
1.4 Orders must be accepted as a whole; we may reject partial requests.
1.5 Oral representations are only valid if confirmed in writing by WATT-SERVICE LIMITED.
1.6 INCOTERMS apply unless otherwise agreed.
1.7 Prices reflect limited liability unless otherwise agreed.
2. Prices and Discounts
2.1 Prices exclude VAT unless otherwise stated.
2.2 Higher delivery costs (e.g., congestion zones) are paid by the Customer.
2.3 Demurrage/delay charges may apply at the delivery site.
2.4 Prices may fluctuate due to material or market changes.
2.5 Design/spec changes may affect quoted prices.
2.6 Tooling fees are payable if custom parts are involved.
2.7 Available discounts:

Prepayment (refundable if cancelled 24+ hrs before)

Early Payment (within 10 days)
2.8 Advice is free unless it requires site visit/time.
2.9 Prices include call-out + 30 minutes. Time after that is billed per 30 mins. Parking charges apply per §2.2.
3. Payment Terms
3.1 Full payment is due immediately after the visit.
3.2 We reserve the right to invoice earlier if delays are caused by the customer.
3.3 Instalments may be invoiced separately.
3.4 Delays/disputes do not excuse payment.
3.5 Non-payment consequences:

3.5.2 8% interest above Bank of England base rate

3.5.3 Demand full payment for all jobs

3.5.4 Offset debts from other invoices

4. Delivery / Site Visit / Packaging
4.1 Times are estimates, not guarantees.
4.2 Customer delays affect delivery timelines.
4.3 Failure to allow access may be deemed contract breach.
4.4 Customer-requested postponement may incur storage/holding charges.
4.5 Standard packaging is included.
4.6 Unloading/placement is customer’s responsibility.
4.7 Call-off orders must be completed within 12 months.
4.8 We may deliver in instalments.
4.9 Delivery is complete when goods leave our (or supplier’s) premises.
4.10 Delivery must be signed for.
4.11 Quantity or schedule changes may incur extra charges.
4.12 Tentative schedules may be honoured.
4.13 Pallets/spillages remain our property unless agreed otherwise.
4.14 Free and safe access to work areas is required. Lack thereof may require rebooking and charge per §2.2.
5. Samples & Assessments
5.1 Samples may be approved prior to bulk work.
5.2 Sales are not “by sample” unless stated in writing.
5.3 Minor variation between sample and bulk is acceptable.
5.4 All engineer visits are chargeable as per §2.9.
6. Risk, Title & Liability
6.1 Risk passes:

6.1.1 On delivery if by us

6.1.2 On dispatch otherwise
6.2 Title passes when: -
6.2.1 Full payment (including past invoices) is received

6.2.2 Or we notify transfer of title
6.3 We may repossess unpaid goods.
6.4 Goods must be stored clearly and separately until paid in full.
7. Cancellations & Variations
7.1 Cancelled orders are charged at actual cost + loss of profit.
7.2 Goods cannot be returned without prior consent.
7.3 Variations under 20% of original quote allowed. Larger changes require a new agreement.
7.4 Variations may extend project timelines.
7.5 Cancelled engineer visits may be refundable per §2.7.
8. Specifications
8.1 Specs may change to comply with regulations.
8.2 +/- 5% tolerance applies to quantities.
8.3 Catalogue info is guidance only.
9. Inspection on Delivery
9.1 Customer must inspect within 3 days.
9.2 Complaints must be made within 3 days (or 7 if non-delivered).
9.3 Visual inspection is required before use.
9.4 Quality complaints for part shipments don’t void entire contract.
10. Latent Defects
10.1 Must be reported within 3 months of delivery.
10.2 No claim if goods were altered, used, or fitted with third-party parts.
10.3 We are not liable for damage due to continued use of faulty goods.
10.4 We have the right to inspect within 15–28 days of complaint.
11. Guarantee
11.1 Statutory rights apply.
11.2 We may repair, replace, or refund defective items at our discretion.
11.3 Our remedy is limited to the above.
11.4 Third-party products are guaranteed per manufacturer’s warranty.
12. Limitation of Liability
We are not liable for:

Indirect losses

Property damage

Loss of profit

Claims above £250,000
You must insure accordingly.
13. Intellectual Property
13.1 All designs, documents, and digital assets are our property.
13.2 Alleged IP infringement must be reported.
13.3 We may alter or replace goods to avoid IP claims.
14. Customer-Supplied Drawings
You are liable for any consequences of faulty specifications you provide. We accept no responsibility unless we confirm in writing.
15. Insolvency
If you become insolvent, we may cancel the contract and seek immediate payment.
16. Testing & Certificates
Any tests or certificates requested are chargeable.
17. Tools
Unless agreed otherwise, all tooling used remains our property.
18. Force Majeure
We are not liable for delays due to uncontrollable events (e.g., natural disasters, shortages, regulatory changes).
19. Consumer Protection Act
You agree to indemnify us for third-party claims unless the issue stems directly from our product.
20. Assignment
You may not transfer your obligations to another party without our written consent.
21. Severability
If any part of these Terms is deemed invalid, the rest remain enforceable.
22. Legal Jurisdiction
English law applies. Disputes are handled by English courts. Consumer rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are not affected.
